Monografia de investigación y de divulgación académica que centra su análisis en los catálogos automatizados, comenzando por su caracterización y evaluación histórica hasta llegar a la situación actual. Se establecen tres grandes grupos temáticos que pueden ser sujetos de evaluación: la recuperación de la información, la base de datos y la interfaz; ofreciendo una síntesis y estado de la cuestión sobre los mismos, así como propuestas relacionadas con el acceso por materias, tipologías de interfaces, recomendaciones para la presentación de la información (especialmente la bibliográfica), para concluir con las tendencias de desarrollo de estos sistemas de acceso a la información. Por la estructura de sus contenidos, por la variedad de fuentes consultadas (más de 500 referencias bibliográficas), por la gradación de la bibliografía en distintos niveles y por la puesta al día de los temas tratados, está destinado tanto a alumnos de nivel avanzado y profesores universitarios del área de Biblioteconomía y Documentación, como a investigadores de ésta u otras disciplinas especializados en el estudio de los sistemas automatizados de acceso a la información bibliográfica.

This bibliography renders account of the over two thousand books on the history of Italian psychiatry that have appeared over the last twenty years. The aim is thus to support the demand for a new historiographic approach to psychiatry which has come regularly to the fore since the 1990s. It is also intended to respond to the need for comparison with the consistently topical reflections handed down to us from the past on issues such as madness, mental health, psychiatry and society.

This chapter examines how the intersections between media and translation have been theorized and highlights medial interactions with forms and processes of translation. In so doing, it discusses the impact of media and translation on each other; the significance of the non-human agent in the production, circulation and reception of translations; and the levels of agency attributed to media. The chapter considers how the media of composition and the media of transmission might have a bearing on the eventual form and impact of the translation product, and discusses the growing calls for media technologies to be seen as constitutive in meaning making, rather than mere containers. Using three diverse historical examples, the chapter traces moments of intersection between media and translation, posing questions on how materiality, technicity, mediality and translation can be perceived to interact and engage with each other.
